Students Debate the Future of Festive Celebrations

30 Oct
A debate on ‘Fireworks vs Eco-Friendly Diwali’ was conducted by the students of Classes 7 and 8. The objective was to promote awareness regarding responsible and environmentally friendly celebrations.

Two teams presented their views. The first team spoke in favour of fireworks, emphasising tradition, festive spirit, and employment opportunities linked to the firecracker industry. The opposing team advocated for an eco-friendly Diwali, highlighting the adverse effects of firecrackers on air quality, public health, animals, and overall environmental well-being.

The participants expressed their arguments with clarity, confidence, and sensitivity towards the issue.
