Gurukul Global School celebrated Tagore Jayanti by organizing a Special online assembly for classes VI to Xth. Rich tributes were paid to the Nobel Laureate and the most popular Indian poet, novelist, dramatist, and story writer par excellence Shri Rabindranath Tagore. On the occasion, a PowerPoint presentation was presented by the Hindi (HOD) Ms Hema Tiwari highlighting the overall persona of Gurudev and inspiring the students to read his innumerable poems and short stories which teach us so many life lessons and values. She also threw light on his greatest contribution i.e. GEETANJALI for which he was given the Nobel prize.
Apart from this the School librarian Ms Raman planned and designed several other Literary activities especially for the students of classes 9th & 10th like poetic recitation and narrating short stories written by Rabindranath Tagore. These activities gave the opportunity to the students to explore the works of this great literary figure which India has produced.
This assembly was attended by the students and the staff. Principal Ms Neena Pandey appreciated the efforts laid down by the librarian and the Hindi department in motivating the students to participate in these activities and fondly remember the greatest literary figure. She also said that such activities keep the students inclined towards reading books.
