Keeping up the spirit of MERI MAATI MERA DESH, Globalites conducted a patriotic and colourful Special Assembly to commemorate 76 years of Independence.
The bright monsoon morning saw the gathering of students and staff in the colourful hues of tricolour, assembled in the School auditorium for a Special Assembly.
The Chief Guest on this occasion was Lt .Col. Rakesh Sharma, a Veteran Army Officer who served the motherland dedicatedly for twenty years. He is also a keen marathon runner who has to his credit a PhD degree in HR. He is still giving his services as Director, University Affairs at Chitkara University. He spoke to the students about his service in the Indian Army and also motivated the young students to serve their country.
The morning saw other dignitaries join the assembly and grace the occasion with their esteemed presence MD Sh Parveen Setya, Directors Ms. Nidhi Setya Thakur, Mr. Devraj Setya, Principal Ms Úrvashi Kakkar, Associate Principal Ms. Sudeshna Sharma, Senior Secondary Head Ms Renu Sharma, School Coordinators, Staff members and students from Class VI to XII.
Students of Class XI conducted the assembly and presented their thoughts on patriotism. Other colourful presentations from students came in the form of Poetic Recitations, Solo Dance, a foot tapping Group Dance and a motivational Nukkad Natak.
Last but not the least ,it was time for the students and the staff to take the ‘Panch Pran’ pledge to safeguard their surroundings and keep their country safe and sound.
Principal Ms Urvashi Kakkar then presented the vote of thanks to the august gathering and wished the students a very Happy Independence Day.
