Students of Gurukul Global School celebrated Baisakhi with great fervour by participating in a special assembly to mark the occasion. The motive behind the celebrations was to apprise the children of their rich culture and heritage which was brought forward by a colourful programme that consisted of poems speech and songs. The programme concluded with a traditional dance performance "Giddha" on the beats of the Dhol which had everyone tapping their feet and clapping their hands in unison. Ms. Urvashi Kakkar, Principal of the school, addressed the students and elaborated that Baisakhi was not only a harvest festival but also an auspicious day as on this day Guru Gobind Singh had established the ‘Khalsa Panth’. She emphasized the importance of hard-work and persistence in achieving one's goals in life.
