Tips to Score Good Marks in Board Exams.

Aiming for a good score in Class X Social Science Board exam can be a challenging but manageable task with the right approach followed by proper planning and effective time management. Here are some tips to help you prepare and manage your time efficiently:

  • A healthy mind lives in a healthy body. Always try to maintain a balanced diet, get regular exercise, and ensure to get enough sleep to keep your mind sharp.
  • Familiarize yourself with the syllabus thoroughly and understand the weightage of each section.
  • Develop a detailed study plan and allocate more time to the topics you find difficult and ensure all topics are covered.
  • Use the latest editions of prescribed NCERT Textbooks to read the chapters thoroughly to get full marks in MCQs. Make your own questions on each topic given on each page. Underline the keywords.
  • Solving the Previous Sessions' Question and Sample papers is a must to understand the exam pattern which will make your preparation easier.
  • Make concise notes in a separate notebook to summarize key points, facts, figures and concepts to make revision easier. Writing the points daily will help you remember the points during the exam.
  • Keep practicing the Map Skills daily so that by then you would have mastered all map locations well for Social Science before the Board Exam. Regularly read all the sources given in the History Textbook and in other SST textbooks thoroughly to practice case based questions. Reading and understanding the glossary words in all is a must. And it is a must to study all the pictures and images given in the textbooks along with their captions to solve picture based MCQs. 
  • Keep practicing numericals in Math’s and Science subjects every day.
  • Newspaper Reading or Listening to News can help you to substantiate topics with examples and also helps you in enhancing your vocabulary and writing skill in language subjects.
  • Solve practice papers and mock tests under exam conditions to build confidence and improve time management.
  • Do discuss the topics with your peers as it improves understanding of the topics.
  • If you're struggling with certain topics, don’t hesitate to ask teachers, peers, or seek online resources for clarification.
  • Don't keep anything for the last moment as then it only increases the stress and anxiety levels. Plan and prepare in a way that you are 100 percent ready to take the board exam head on.
