Creativity involves two processes: Thinking and Producing

It is crucial to foster such thinking in kids from their formative years as this allows them to emerge as better problem solvers.

Let us accept the fact that there are no universal recipes for encouraging the creative minds to think but the following tips can be beneficial for the same:

  1. CHANGE THE SPACE:

It is important to get away from all typical routines and get out of the comfort zone to foster thinking and creativity.

  1. TRIGGER THE CURIOSITY:

Children are born curious and creative thinking comes from curiosity. The teachers and parents must provide relevant indications to further drive their curiosity towards the right direction. If creative thinking of a child is triggered and tapped at the right age, it will lead to manifestation of bigger picture.

  1. ALLOCATE TIME TO THINK, DREAM AND TRAIN YOUR IMAGINATION:

Creative thinking is a matter of regularly training your imagination, practicing the power of observation and dreaming. Tell your kids to practice spending time every dayin this process.

  1. MAKE CHILDREN QUESTION THINGS:

Each child has his/her own approach towards problem solving and creating something new.Allow them to pose queries that challenge common wisdom.

  1. ENCOURAGE CHILDREN TO READ FOR PLEASURE:

The most important fact is to limit the screen time of children to make room for creative hobbies which further inculcates the process of innovative and logical thinking and imagination.

  1. ENGAGE THEM WITH ACTIVITY BOXES:

Encourage and engage them for out of the box thinking which means-“thinking beyond obvious”. For this they need peaceful time away from digital gadgets. Ask them to play and make their own creative games.

  1. RE-CONCEPTUALIZE THE PROBLEM:

Tell them to find multiple ways to solve every problem. Be it a mathematics problem, emotional problem or matters related to day to day life, there are different perspectives to look at everything and multiple ways to solve them.

  1. LET THEM PITCH THEIR IDEAS:

One of the most important skill is the ability to present a very short and clear description of new ideas. This ability to articulate an idea can only come through much practice. Motivate  and allow them to pitch their ideas.

  1. MAKE THEM ADAPTABLE :

The more kids broaden their horizons the more connections their brain is going to make. The more information their brain has access to, the more it's able to come up with unusual ideas.

“LAST BUT NOT LEAST, HELP KIDS ZOOM THEIR VISION AND LET THEM CREATE THEIR OWN RAINBOW “.
