Art as Meditation for Peace of Mind.

When I start with a blank canvas or page it’s like l am sorting or channelizing my thoughts and emotions into something tangible. During drawing, my mind takes break from every stress and goes on meditation. It is like walking through nature and getting close to it which has so much to give us.

Colours have a significant impact on our emotions and mental state like pastel blues and greens indeed bring a sense of peace and relaxation.

Rainbows are not only visually stunning but they inspire wonder and joy.

The vibrant colours of peacock symbolize wisdom, creativity and beauty.

Art benefits us in following ways:

Creative Expression: Art allows individuals to express themselves in unique and personal ways, providing an outlet for emotions and thoughts that may be difficult to articulate verbally.

Escape from Stress: Creating art provides a break from the stress of daily life, offering a quiet space for relaxation and introspection. Example: Creating art forms by weaving technique and mosaic technique.

Emotional Expression: Art allows us to express our thoughts and feelings in a way that feels natural and authentic, helping us to process and understand them better.

Sense of Fulfillment: Completing a piece of art and creating something best out of waste, gives us a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, boosting our mood and self-esteem.

Calmness and Focus: Engaging in artistic activities like ‘Mandala Art’,’ Stippling technique’ can help us to stay focused in the present moment or situation, promoting mindfulness and reducing anxiety.

Personal Retreat: Art serves as my own retreat, where I can escape to when I need a moment of peace and tranquility. It works in the same for most other.
