Kids’ Carnival 2024: A Blend of Fun and Social Responsibility.

22 Dec
Gurukul Global School hosted its vibrant Kids’ Carnival 2024 on 21st December at its Sector 13, Chandigarh campus, blending festive cheer with a spirit of inclusivity and social responsibility. The crisp, frosty morning came alive with the excited chatter of guests, parents, students and alumni. The grand event was inaugurated by the esteemed School President, Ms. Neena Setya, who released a cluster of colourful balloons, symbolizing the boundless joy in the air.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Managing Director Mr. Parveen Setya, Director Mr. Devraj Setya, Ms. Zara Setya, Principal Ms. Urvashi Kakkar, and Senior Secondary Head Ms. Renu Sharma, who added their warmth to the celebrations.
Children’s delight knew no bounds as they participated enthusiastically in activities like the Baby Show, Fancy Dress, Dance Performances and Hands-On Experiments. Vibrant stalls showcased creative science experiments, books, stationery and mouthwatering food, while cultural highlights such as Christmas Carols, Folk Dances, and attractions like Robotics, the STEM Corner, Pottery and a Magic Show kept everyone engaged and entertained.
The event featured a special stall by ‘Silver Linings,’ a Rehabilitation and Technology Centre for the Blind, now set up within Gurukul Global School’s premises. Established in Delhi, the Centre empowers the visually impaired through technology and training, promoting their inclusion into the mainstream. The stall garnered admiration and raised awareness about this meaningful initiative.
As a Welfare and Charitable Fete, the carnival’s proceeds will go towards various charitable initiatives, reaffirming the school’s unwavering commitment to community service. The event truly encapsulated the joy of giving, festive celebration and fostering a sense of social responsibility among the young and old alike.
