Gurukul Global School proudly showcased its Senior Wing’s Annual Presentation on 25th October 2024 at the Inderdhanush Auditorium, Sector 5, Panchkula. This year’s theme, ‘Saarthi - We All Need One’, resonated deeply with the attendees, offering a poignant reminder of the importance of guidance and support in our lives.
The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Honourable Sardar Kultar Singh Sandhwan Ji, the Speaker of the Punjab Legislative Assembly and MLA representing the Kotkapura constituency. During his address to the audience, he emphasized the importance of education in shaping the future leaders of our society. He encouraged students to harness their talents and pursue their dreams with unwavering determination. The Guest of Honor, Dr. Liisa Toivonen, Science and Education Counsellor from the Embassy of Finland, also shared valuable insights, highlighting the significance of creativity and critical thinking in academic pursuits.
The school management, President Ms. Neena Setya, Managing Director Mr. Parveen Setya, Directors Mr. Pawan Bansal, Mr. Deepak Dhiman, Dr. Sanjay Kalra and Mr. Devraj Setya graced the occasion with their presence.
The Annual Presentation was a vibrant showcase of talent, featuring captivating performances in theatre, dance, and music, portraying how every element of the society has such huge expectations from a child. It also raised a very pertinent question as to why only the young ones are always questioned for their shortcomings when parents, teachers and society are all equally instrumental in shaping and nurturing their personalities. This self-curated act successfully delivered and exposed the turmoils going on in a child's mind.
The ceremony also highlighted the outstanding achievements of both students and educators for their exceptional contributions during the academic year 2023-2024. As many as 123 awards in total were given in this prestigious ceremony which included sterling trophies and cash prizes of up to Rs. 5,100, in recognition of excellence of the recipients. The most prestigious accolade, The Vidya Parvati Award, was awarded to the highest achievers along with a cash prize of Rs. 11,000, celebrating the pinnacle of academic achievement. Additionally, a grand cash reward of Rs. 50,000 was presented to the Tricity topper of Class X, marking her remarkable accomplishment in academics. The Best Teacher Award and a cash prize of Rs. 11,000 in the Senior Category was bagged by Ms. Chanda Juneja for her passion to teach and inspire her students.
The parents in the audience also expressed their admiration for the school’s commitment to the holistic development of their children, acknowledging the efforts made by the school authorities to nurture talent and character. The evening culminated in a heartfelt finale, where all performers, teachers, and dignitaries united on stage to sing ‘Jai Ho’ song, radiating energy and a spirit of community.
