Grandparents are the family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest story tellers and the keepers of tradition. To pay gratitude and honour, the Grandparents of Pre-Primary Section of Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh celebrated Grandparents’ Day with full enthusiasm. The occasion was graced by the benign presence of the School President Mrs Neena Setya, Managing Director Mr Parveen Setya, Director Mr Devraj Setya, Principal Mrs Urvashi Kakkar and all the wonderful Grandparents.
The program began with the auspicious ‘Lamp Lighting Ceremony’. The tiny tots mesmerized their grandparents by performing a special ‘Aarti’ & a small play titled ‘Kuch Pal…’ for them in order to seek their blessings on the special day. Many competitions like Ramp Walk, Couple Dance, Jhatpat Healthy Snacks, One Minute Games and more fun-filled activities were organized by the staff for the grandparents in which they all participated with great zeal. The performances of each grandparent left all the spectators spellbound and thoroughly awestruck.
The success of the event was evident through the joyful smiles and teary eyes of the grandparents as they were overwhelmed to see their little grandchildren performing and participating in all the events. Appropriate music and enthusiastic grandparent - grandchild combinations made the event a super hit! The winners were awarded with prizes. Everyone left with happy memories, loads of appreciation and heaps of blessings to the school and its staff.
