Gurukul Global School proudly hosted the Vidya Parvati Memorial Inter-School Competition, a prestigious two-day event held in memory of Late Smt. Vidya Devi Ji and Late Smt. Parvati Setya Ji. Based on the theme ‘Maa’, the event paid homage to the love, resilience, and guidance that mothers represent. More than 20 distinguished schools from across the Tricity region participated, making the celebration both vibrant and meaningful.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. V.D Singh, whose gracious presence had set an inspiring tone for the day. Day One featured creatively curated competitions such as Punjabi Self-Composed Poem Recitation, Jewellery Crafting, Fabric Painting ,and the emotional Womb to World-Mother & child duet. Events like Step It Up for Your Mom- Dance Battle, Maathsbola, and the Patriotic Group Song Competition added spirit and enthusiasm.

Day Two welcomed renowned radio personality RJ Meenakshi as the Chief Guest. Her motivational journey and powerful words deeply resonated with the students, encouraging them to remain confident, resilient, and authentic in all walks of life. She spoke passionately about the role of mothers in shaping one’s identity and the importance of expressing gratitude. Her charisma, relatability, and warmth instantly connected well with the young audience.  RJ Meenakshi, while interacting with the students gave them a very useful tip for Radio Jockeying. She said that it is not important to have good voice quality for being a good Radio Jockey, but the most vital requirement is having confidence. The interactive session with students created an atmosphere of inspiration, laughter, and reflection.

The event concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, recognizing talent, creativity, and participation. Principal, Mrs. Urvashi Kakkar congratulated all the winners and thanked  the participating schools for making the event a success.The seamless execution of the event was made possible by the constant support and presence of the school’s Managing committee members, whose vision continues to drive the institution forward.The event reinforced Gurukul Global School’s commitment to fostering holistic, value-based education.

While Gurukul Global School emerged as the overall winner, the trophy was graciously passed on to DC Montessori School, upholding the true spirit of inclusivity and encouragement.
