Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh had a proud privilege of hosting a talk
show on ‘Women of Today’ on 25 th November, 2022. GGS actively promotes the
girl child and believes in women empowerment. Renowned Bollywood Actress
Ms Divya Dutta was the honourable Chief Guest on this stupendous occasion.
The talk show was organized at the School Auditorium. Mothers of students of
Classes I to V participated in the event.
President, Mrs Neena Setya, Managing Director, Mr Parveen Setya, Director Mr
Devraj Setya graced the occasion. Principal Ms Nina Pandey and Associate
Principal Ms Sudeshna Sharma formally welcomed the celebrity and the august
gathering. The official inauguration of the School Theatre Club ‘Sab-Ras’ was
done to promote the art of stage play. The participating mothers asked different
questions on Women Empowerment from Ms Dutta. She addressed all the
parents and conveyed that several obstacles are still globally hindering
empowerment of women thus lagging the development of societies. She traced
her journey in life, as an actress. Through various anecdotes, she shared her
experiences with various people whom she encountered in her life. She exhorted
the audience to have a vision in life.
The true meaning of women empowerment will be achieved when gender
inequality will be eliminated. We need to give equal opportunities to women for
equal pay, equal respect as equal to men. We look forward to such a nation.
