Gurukul Global School’s NSS (National Service Scheme) cell recently organized an insightful workshop on “Cyber Safety and Fraud Awareness,” for class XI. It aimed at educating students about the growing risks of cyber fraud and how to protect themselves in an increasingly digital world. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Arpit Dubey, a cybersecurity expert from GGDSD College, Sector 32, Chandigarh.
Mr. Dubey provided a comprehensive overview of the various types of cyber frauds prevalent today, including KYC (Know Your Customer) fraud, bank frauds, and credit card fraud. Through real-world examples and engaging discussions, he highlighted how scammers have become highly sophisticated, employing advanced techniques to deceive unsuspecting individuals.
The workshop provided students with valuable knowledge and practical tips to navigate the online world safely. It served as a reminder of the importance of cybersecurity awareness in today’s technology-driven society and equipped students with the skills to protect themselves and their families from cyber threats.
