Books donated to government girls model senior secondary school.

13 Apr

Gurukul Global School celebrated Earth day on 22nd April in a unique way. Every year the school donates books and toys. This initiative has been the brain child of its MD Sir - Sir Parveen Setya and President Shrimati Neena Setya. This year the initiative was taken up by the Eco club of the school – Palaash along with the youth volunteers of Yuvsatta. With the guidance and motivation of Mrs. Nina Pandey, the Principal of the school and the school Librarian Mrs. Raman Rajpoot could instill this value of sharing and reuse among the school students when they came forward and donated books and toys to the school library.

This inculcated the value of reuse and recycle of the old books which children had purchased and were left unattended in their homes. These voluntary donations were given to the Government Girls Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 18 C, Chandigarh. This was a joint initiative but it taught a new lesson to the students to keep their used books in good condition and share with the needy.
