Teachers attended a Workshop on Cyber Crime, Cyber Safety & Cyber Awareness

06 Dec
Gurukul Global Teachers attended a workshop on Cyber Crime and Cyber Security presented by Mr. Vikas Sangwan from Police Station, Cyber Crime, Chandigarh UT. He began the session by expounding what Cyber Crime actually is; it is a crime committed through various Digital devices or Online fraud. He further advised that in order to avoid such crimes one should not have Weak Passwords as they can be guessed and hacked easily. He suggested that to avoid such crimes, one must have Alphanumeric and Case Sensitive Passwords. One must never share Passwords, OTPs with anyone. He impressed upon the fact that if one uses the Digital device the data never gets deleted and it can be retrieved from the Digital Footprints.

He forbade the usage of apps like 'Quick Support' and 'Any desk' as they are an open invitation to Online frauds. He also stressed that Online Gaming, using free WIFI, should be avoided. It was an informative and eye opener session to get tips from the speaker.
