The teachers attend an interactive workshop on the topic- Teaching as Performance by Ms. Saumya Kulshreshta.
The essence of the highly interactive workshop was that in the present scenario its not only teacher teaching in the class but effectiveness of a lesson is when the teachers also learn from their students. She asked the teachers to open up with their students, start from where the kids are and lead them from where they falter. She opined that every teacher should be a performer and every child should be inspired and alive. The Resource person also said that kids are the greatest apprehenders. Teachers should just create loops and let the students find the answers. Emphasis was laid on non-verbal communication. A teacher should be an improviser and do her preparation, rehearse, then deliver with confidence, smile and have an eye to eye contact - then only a true bond between a teacher and the taught will be made.
