Gurukul Global students of Class VI to VIII attended a Workshop on 'Vocabulary Building and Reading Skills' by Ms Ratna Davesar, an Educational Facilitator.
She initiated the Workshop and stressed on Vocabulary Building by asking them to first listen, read, speak and then use the words in writing. She emphasized that curiosity and interest enhance their vocabulary. She gave tips to the students to make a list of new words while reading and try using them in their daily conversation. Reading skills can be generated by reading different kinds of books, magazines, or newspapers every day. In the end, she asked the students to make a diary, summarize and improve their writing skills.
