Nelson Mandela said, “Remember to celebrate milestones as you prepare for the road ahead.” Celebrating each milestone bestows good memories to be kept forever in the journey of life and prepares one to face challenges in the future. Gurukul Global School, Sector 13, Chandigarh celebrated one such milestone, Graduation and Accolades Day on the star-studded evening of 17th March, 2023 in the school premises. The twinkling stars up in the sky were not half as bright as the young stars of GGS in their dazzling attires. The day was an exciting milestone for the first steppers towards their future. It was gratifying to see these tiny tots bedecked with graduation caps, awards and certificates. The glitterati on the occasion saw the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest for the evening Mr Sanjeev Kalra (IPS, Special DGP Punjab Home Guard) , Guest of Honour Mrs Bhatti, School President Ms Neena Setya, Managing Director Sh Parveen Setya, Director Sh Devraj Setya along with the school Principal Ms Nina Pandey, Ms Urvashi Kakkar, Associate Principal Ms Sudeshna, Senior Secondary Head Ms Renu Sharma also graced the function by their austere presence. Commencing on a devotional note with the lighting of ceremonial lamp and prayer, the programme advanced with a welcome address and annual report by school Principal Ms Nina Pandey. The sequence of events embellished various facets of the supreme personality Lord Krishna. The tiny tots, under the cloudy sky, a perfect day for the incarnation of Shri Krishna showcased his journey of life through a short skit ‘Mahabhagvatam’, raas-leela, dance and song. The Pre-Primary wing successfully touched the right chord in spreading solemn love. The Chief Guest enlightened all with his inspiring words. The Principal encouraged the little ones as they embarked on their journey towards knowledge and education. Their efforts were appreciated and the hard work of the teachers and the support staff was also acknowledged to make this event a grand success, while the appreciative audience welcomed the young smiling faces with rapturous applause.
