The School Counsellor Mrs. Anuradha initiated a workshop for the students of Class- IX to make them aware as to what good Interpersonal relationships are and how to make them building blocks for maintaining sound community relationships.
The Resource person initially showcased a Power point presentation on what are healthy relationships and went on to share the tips how strong ties with peers, co-workers, parents and teachers can be strong stepping stones to make good community relationships.
She highlighted that good relationships always help one to grow as better individuals and better citizens.
In her PPT she highlighted nine tips on how to maintain good relationships, some of them being good listeners, taking the expertise of others, practising empathy and acknowledging the positive traits of others as sure shot steps to win a special place in the social set up.
Last but not the least she highlighted the good traits of a relationship like having trust, listening to others, politeness, maintaining individuality, having fun together - as these traits always help to make better relationships and win long lasting friends.
The students found the workshop meaningful and helpful as they were on the threshold where they would make new friends, new co-workers and new relationships when they take up new responsibilities.
