Western Dance Club
In western club students learn different forms of dance like Hip- hop dance, contemporary dance, modern dance etc. The purpose of the club is to involve and energize students with different dance moves and also inculcating physical well being at the same time. The club provides the student with a platform where they perform, be with themselves, enjoy and also enthuses them for competitive spirit. The students learn various dance forms from the famous Bollywood choreographer Mr. Shahid.

The Quiz Club of Gurukul Global School intends to empower the students with knowledge and create interest and curiosity and to collect information related to different fields and aspects of life. It aims to bring to light something new and interesting every time. It tries to provide facts related to general knowledge and information regarding current affairs of national and international importance. The main activities conducted by the Quiz Club are interclass quiz during the School Assembly, inter-house and inter- school quiz competitions for students of all Grades from 6 to 10.
PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CLUB
This Club grooms the personality of each child along with imparting training in social etiquette. Bringing out the positive aspects in the children their personality is polished so that they can take on the world with confidence.
Mass Media Club
Keeping in view the importance of media in society and students’ continuous engagement with media it is important that the students start understanding media rather than just being passive viewers or readers. Discussing media and media messages with students is the need of the hour. Keeping in view the growing media industry, the school has initiated the Mass Media Club.. BUDDING ARTISTS’ CLUB
Budding Picasso’s have their tryst with the canvas and brush and student’s artistic potential is revealed through the myriad activities in this club.
The purpose of the Culinary Club is to provide hands on cooking experience while learning about kitchen safety and sanitation, recipe preparation, food presentation and giving back to our school and community, and of course, having a lot of fun! In this club students share and learn new recipe ideas and eat. They get to know about the balanced diet as well as the nutritional value which they can add in their daily life. They also learn the household work such as Hamming, Embroidery, Block painting etc.
YOUNG SPEAKERS CLUB
In a world where communication skill has become supreme, this club empowers the students by increasing their proficiency in the language and by improving their oratorical skills. The goal of the Young speaker’s club is to help our students improve their speaking ability. We prepare the students to present a well-organized, confident and coherent talk with a logical Flow to their talk and guide the students to hone their speaking and leadership skills in a no Pressure atmosphere.
YOUNG EINSTEIN CLUB
The main aim of this club is to innovate the scientific aptitude in the students and enhance their skills in experimentation and research .The main areas in where they have worked are finding various application s of solar energy and fourth and fifth state of matter.
Science & Technology Club
The Science & Technology Club is dedicated to research and teaching about scientific knowledge and technology among children. The goal is to build, reconfigure, and contest scientific knowledge and technology at a young age and create, Scientists or inventors. It gives an opportunity to discover the wonders of science in an exciting and stimulating environment Learn more about the amazing world of science through fun science experiments, cool facts, activities and science fair projects. The club also helps the students to find out what makes animals & plants special, how magnets work, the importance of recycling, biology basics, the difference between an acid and a base, how the dinosaurs lived and much more. Today, the world is getting old. Pollution, deforestation, green house effect, climate change, global warming, are words that we often hear. All these give direct impact to quality of life we are living. Technology is a large part of science, hence incorporating the idea of development of a scientific temper in the students from the beginning is considered an important aspect of this club.
IT WIZARD CLUB
IT Wizard club IT Wizard club teaches additional concepts in computers besides the regular classroom curriculum. To enhance and inculcate designing and creativity skills amongst the students , Coreldraw and photoshop is taught to the IT Wizard students. The goal is to reinforce technology beyond the classroom at a young age and create future designers and software engineers . It gives an opportunity to discover the wonders of ‘electronic maze of wires’ in an exhilarating and stimulating environment , learn more about the incredible world of computers through software’s like CorelDraw, Photoshop and Alice . Alice is designed to awaken students’ interest in computer programming through 3D animation techniques. It is suitable for a wide range of students and is being used by thousands of schools globally. Alice can be used by the students for more effective learning as it is a 3 D animation tool for creating interesting games, cartoon movies using the concept of OOPs.
French is the first or second language in more than 40 countries and is spoken by 125 million people around the world, on every continent. Because French is a foreign language of choice for so many people in the world, knowing French will also increase your chances of communication in a non-English speaking country. Students have tremendous advantages when they learn to speak French. French club at Gurukul Global School helps students to develop a basic usable command of the language.
In the present environment of materialistic progress where cut- throat competition, self centered achievements and violence abound, there is a pressing word to inculcate feelings of love and compassion towards other weaker loving beings-and particularly for innocent dumb animals, amongst the young minds during their formative years of development for insuring whole-some personality of future citizens of our country. In the Kindness Club of Gurukul Global School the various programs in the form of extracurricular activities could be carried out periodically to draw the attention of students about the need of compassion to the dumb animals.
Gurukul Global School has always been committed to sensitize its students on issues relating to environmental degradation. Therefore the school came up with “Nature Club” in the Session 2013. For the students of Nature Club, Exploring nature is a real delight. So our club offers a fun learning experience which will kindle a life – long love of nature. Activities of this club are conducted throughout the year focusing on different themes at different stages. It encourages its members to be pro-active towards sustainable development in their given milieu. From activities to inculcate the habits of reuse and recycle, conducting water audit in school, reusing pet bottles and tetra packs or conducting water quality tests, the Nature Club has done it all. This year the School also celebrated International School Grounds Month in the month of May, where they learnt and prepared a Fairy Garden and presented it to the school. The club further plans to provide opportunities to acquire attitudes, values and skills needed to protect and improve the natural environment.
GURUKUL GLOBAL’S INITIATIVE TO HEAL THE WORLD.
‘Eco Club, Health Club and Peace Club’ is an effort by Gurukul Global School towards combating degradation and damage done to the Health, Peace and Environment by human beings. ‘Orchid’ An Eco Club is registered with Environmental Department, Chandigarh, aims to create awareness among the school children who are the future safe guards of the society & environment and also works to educate the masses. Various activities like tree plantation, ‘Say no to Polythene’, Bird Watching etc. have been conducted in school to save mother Earth. ‘Health Club’ organises monthly Medical checkups, conducts Seminars by Eminent Doctors and holds training workshops for teachers to facilitate health programs in school. Various health activities like Nutrition Week, Dental Health Awareness Program, Seminars on Swine-flu, Childhood Asthma etc. are organized every month to promote good health in school A health card in maintained for every child which keeps the complete record of checkups done through out the year. ‘Peace Club’ addresses the noble cause of healing the world. It is formed to counter the growing violence, fear and hatred in society. If we have to create peace in the world we must begin with children. The Peace Club organizes peace rallies, seminars to cultivate compassion, understanding love and social responsibility in students. ‘We must be the change we wish to see in world’, so in an environment of general decline of values and its accompanying ills the students are taught to lead a life based on truth, love and Non-Violence to achieve true happiness and peace on Earth.
Sports are not only essential but also indispensable for an all-round development of the children. Besides promoting health, sports strengthen the students power of endurance and develop in them a spirit of co-operation and brotherhood. They promote discipline, sense of fair play and team spirit. Students are trained to accept defeat with a smile and preserve humility even in victory.. They fill the students with new vigour, vitality and enthusiasm, which help them to concentrate more on their studies. The school boasts of a vast play area with well equipped infrastructure of international level. Our budding sportspersons can be seen enjoying a game of Lawn tennis on the school clay courts and the two mini courts. The Skating rink resounds with the joyous shouts of the beginners who have just discovered the thrill of skating! Cheerful camaraderie is to be seen at the Basket ball court. Fitness lovers can go in for Aerobics classes. Students develop their self defence skills by learning Wushu. For those who prefer to play indoors Table Tennis, Carrom and Chess are there to chose from.
"NOVICE- Nurturing Of Values In Children"
NOVICE is an initiative by by Gurukul Global School involving interactive and practical workshops for each of the stakeholder of the education system, viz. Teachers, Parents, and Students, who are closely associated with the overall operations of the schools. The following workshops were held for the students: 1)Little Angels Class II 2)Art Excel- Classes III to VIII 3)YES Classes IX to XI The objective of the workshops was to enable the students to learn to handle tensions, stresses and negative emotions through powerful breathing techniques, besides providing tips to energize the body, mind & spirit. Teachers underwent a 4-day workshop called LIVE which focused on methods to handle children of different attributes. Workshops were also arranged for the parents on the topics, viz. Know your child and Know your Teens The focus of these workshops were to carry out a root cause analysis of the child's behavioral patterns and equip parents with adequate knowledge to help them in dealing with their children and allowing their children to blossom to their full potential. These inputs are also very vital in preserving the beauty of the parent child relationship as the child grows up to teen-age and adulthood.
A collective Hawan ceremony is performed every month for the students whose birthday falls in that month, wherein the offerings of various herbs are made to the Holy fire midst chanting of ‘Mantras’ or Holy Verses. These offerings not only purify the environment but also spread positivity. The Hawan at Gurukul Global is performed to pray for the long life and well being of the students.
We understand that a purely academic endevour would not suffice to prepare our young learners for life’s challenges. To augment classroom studies field trips are conducted every month for all the classes. It’s a best way of acquiring first hand information and it leaves a deep impression and greater understanding in students. They were able to visualize and experience what they learnt in the confines of the classrooms. Field trips being an integral part of curriculum are the best way to widen the horizons of the child’s mind.
