Mother’s Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at Gurukul
Global School,Chandigarh to appreciate and honour the mothers of
Globalites. Giving mothers an excellent opportunity to get respite
from the mundane chores of life a fun filled program was organized in
the school premises where more than 100 mothers came to participate
and show their talent in various competitions.
The event kickstarted with lighting of the lamp by Chairman Dr. V.D
Singh and Mrs Singh followed by welcome speech by Principal Mrs Aruna
Bhardwaj where she welcomed all the mothers and appreciated their
participation to make the event a success..To make this day a special
one the school organized various competitions like Rangoli Making
,Vase Decoration,Appetizer and healthy snack making,and catwalk with
the theme ‘Jatti Punjab Di’ and ‘Mutiyaar Punjab Di’.The titles were
bagged by Ms. Jyoti, Ms. Saroj Joshi and Ms. Aman Walia.The mothers
wholeheartedly participated and vied with each other to emerge as a
winner.It was a wonderful sight to see them making preparations and
performing excellently in the competitions.Ms. Ashima was declared the
winner in Rangoli Making,Ms Alka Bhagat in Vase Decoration  and Ms.
Kanchan Chugh and Ms Tina Chauhan in Healthy Snack Making.A
heartstirring play was enacted by teaching staff of school to salute
the harbinger of love portraying the beautiful relationship a mother
shares with her child. A grand party was organized  later on where all
the mothers jived and danced to various foot tapping numbers on the
dance floor.
